VOLUNTEERS

Program volunteers have various duties within the program and at events. Volunteers may include assisting with check-in, preparing materials, event support, photography, videography, and more.

JOURNEYMEN / JOURNEYWOMEN

Jonesville Academy has a team of mentors called Journeymen and Journeywomen that serve with youth during the year. For more information on becoming a mentor, visit the Journeymen page

TEACHER ASSISTANTS

Jonesville Academy seeks teacher assistants primarily consisting of student teachers from WKU. We will accept volunteers to assist in the classroom during the year as needed. These assistants provide support with the lesson for the day and activities on the program schedule. 

SPEAKERS

Volunteers speakers generally share their stories or prepare a topic in line with the lesson for the day. We welcome speakers from different backgrounds and career fields to speak during our lunch program on specific days. These opportunities are limited during the year. INTERNSHIPS

The Jonesville Academy seeks to provide a space for youth and young adults to learn. This includes college students interested in internships for course credit. Internships opportunities are fitting for students in social work, public relations, advertising, marketing, communication, nonprofit management. Currently, students can apply for internships for Jonesville Academy through Handshake by viewing the For a Real Change opening.
